Kurt G. Conti, Chief Executive Officer/President, brings with him more than 25 years of business experience, providing leadership to The Conti Group across all its corporate entities. He joined The Conti Group immediately upon graduation with an engineering degree from Villanova University. Starting from the ground up, he worked in every functional position at Conti, moved through management and assumed the leadership of the business when he became CEO and president in 1995. Mr. Conti has transformed The Conti Group from a small local construction company — with annual revenues of $15 million — to a nationally recognized leader in infrastructure development, environmental remediation, renewable energy and homeland security, with more than $350 million in annual revenues. A 1984 honors graduate from Villanova University, Mr. Conti is also a member of the schools College of Engineering Advisory Board. In 2000, Mr. Conti graduated from the Owners/Managers Program of the Harvard Business School.
Jyothish Daniel, Chief Operating Officer, Alternity Wind Power, and Vice President, The Conti Group, has more than 13 years experience in operations management, organizational design and strategic management consulting. At Alternity Wind Power, he brings his special expertise in renewable energy to the management of the divisions operations and overall organizational growth. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Daniel directed the development and implementation of Organizational Design and People Systems for The Conti Group. He also serves on the CEOs Strategy team. Before joining the Conti team, he was senior director of manufacturing operations for Blinds To Go, served in Booz Allen & Hamiltons Consumer and Engineered Products practice, and General Motors North American Competitive Manufacturing Team. Mr. Daniel holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, and an MBA in General Management from Harvard Universitys Graduate School of Business Administration.
R. James Ansell, Alternity Wind Power’s Chief Development Officer, has extensive experience in financing, developing and operating renewable energy projects. Previously, he was a founding Member of Generation Resources Holding Co, LLC of Leawood, Kansas, Chairman of the First Energy Sustainable Energy Funds and sat on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. Prior to founding Generation Resources, Mr. Ansell was Vice President, Strategic Development and Alliances for Black & Veatch. Mr. Ansell has also held executive and senior management positions with a number of other major companies including Inter-Power/AhlCon Partners, LP, ABB Impell Corporation, and the Babcock & Wilcox Company. Mr. Ansell has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the Babcock Graduate School of Management, Wake Forest University.
Richard Kenny, Vice President of Finance, has more than 15 years in private and public accounting, auditing and financial management. In 2003, he joined The Conti Group, where he has held a number of positions, including director of Finance of Conti Environment & Infrastructure. Mr. Kenny has extensive financial background and expertise enables AWP to work with early-stage developers with their projects even in a distressed economic climate.
Prior to joining Conti, Mr. Kenny was a manager in Dun & Bradstreet’s Corporate Planning Department. Before that, he served as senior accountant for Amper, Politziner & Mattia, CPAs, and as an accountant for Rutgers University. Mr. Kenny earned his BS in Accounting at Rutgers University School of Business and his MBA in Finance, at Rutgers Graduate School of Management.
Anthony Blommel, Director of Market Intelligence, has over 20 years of experience in multiple operations, product, sales and engineering management roles in the automotive, industrial and consumer products industries.
His extensive experience in the automotive industry includes positions with General Motors, Britax, Husky and Toyota. He has been a leader in the start-up of three new manufacturing facilities including a greenfield site in Milton, VT recognized for its use of environmentally friendly manufacturing systems and methods.
Mr. Blommel holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from GMI Engineering and Management Institute and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
